12 Cruelty-Free, Clean, & Organic Makeup Brands

You want to make sure you get the best from your beauty–after all, you’re paying for it. From vaguely worded promises to unclear labeling systems, brands that tout “cruelty-free” can have some misleading fine print. Some brands are known to carefully word statements claiming that they don’t partake in animal testing, but they may contract other parties to test on animals on their behalf. When it boils down to it, it’s hard to know whether a makeup brand is really, truly, completely cruelty-free. To help navigate the waters, we’re here to lay down the law on the natural beauty brands doing things right. Plus, their products are pretty awesome.
